| PRODUCTION WORKERS LOCAL 1345-I.A.M.&A.W.
As a member with this Local, we have a few important facts that we would like you to know in order to keep your membership in good standing.
UNION DUES: Union dues are $67.00 per month for anyone making $10.51 and above, $60.00 per month for anyone making $10.50 and below. Dues are payable anytime during the month, from the 1st day through the last. THE MAIN POINT TO REMEMBER IS THAT YOU CANNOT GO PAST TWO (2) MONTHS WITHOUT PAYMENT OF DUES. Membership will automatically cancel on the last day of the 2nd month for nonpayment of dues-PLEASE AVOID THIS. In the event your membership would be canceled, you will be required to reinstate your membership.
OUT OF WORK: In the event that you would be out of work the major portion of working days during a month, due to lay-off, sickness or disability, you can apply for out of work stamps at the cost of $4.00 per month. Unemployment stamps are issued only after the 17th of each month and they are not issued in advance. Should you be out of work, you personally are required to notify the Local Office of the last day worked and upon returning to work, the date you returned. Out of work stamps should be obtained each month they are due. The same (2) months requirement will apply as stated above under "UNION DUES"
DUES DEDUCTION: Should you be employed by a Company that has a dues deduction system, whereby they deduct your union dues from your paycheck each month, you are required by the Local Lodge By-Laws to submit your dues card to the Local Office at least once every three or four months to be stamped and kept to date. Be sure to watch your check stubs to see that the Company deducts your dues each month. Should the company fail to deduct your dues, yu are responsible for the dues being paid.
ADDRESS: The Lodge Office should have your correct address on file at all time. Should you change your address or telephone number be sure to personally notify the Lodge Office. Any correspondence we may have with you can only be sent to the last known address.
